Event FAQs

What should I wear?
We are suggesting "dressy casual" as the attire for the evening. For guys, this would be dress pants and a dress shirt or a nice polo. For women, this would be something a little nicer than jeans. But not overly "formal".

What's for dinner?
We've planned a delicious buffet that will include a roast sirloin of beef, chicken, vegetarian lasagne, tossed salad, pasta salad, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, potatoes and rolls. It will also include coffee and tea.

Will alcohol be served?
Alcohol is not included in the cost of the event. A cash bar, however, will be available. If you are going to drink alcoholic beverages during the event, please plan to purchase them from the reunion cash bar instead of the hotel bar so that the money will go toward meeting our hotel minimum for the night.

How did you determine the cost for the event?
When calculating the cost for the reunion, we had to factor in a number of things, including food, tax, gratuity, music, security, decorations and credit card processing fees. We also factored in out-of-pocket expenses like the cost to host this web site. We are not using a reunion service for this event. All of the man (and woman) hours related to the event have been donated by the committee and volunteers. All of the hours spent creating and maintaing this web site, tracking down classmates and publicizing the event have also been donated. Any net revenue from the event will go into the class fund and will be used for the next reunion.

Why do I have to pay in advance? (Why can't I pay at the door?)
In order to make sure we don't run out of food (like we did at the 10-year reunion) we need to provide a final count to the hotel two weeks before the event. In order to control costs for the reunion, it's important for our final count to be as accurate as possible. The best way to do this is to require everyone to pay in advance to confirm their reservation for the event.

Is the Saturday night dinner the only reunion event being planned?
The Saturday evening event at the WB Country Inn is the only "official" event being planned for this reunion. In past years, we planned multiple events and had very fragmented attendance. We wanted to focus this year on bringing everyone together in just one event.

Will there be other activities at the reunion besides dinner and dancing?
In addition to dinner and dancing there will also be opportunites to mix and mingle with classmates. We want the main focus of the evening to be on reconnecting with classmates, so there will be fun memorbilia and activies to support this.
